Does it ever feel like you got the enormous dream?
In June 2022, the nationwide conversation about abortion rose to the top again after the U.S. Supreme Court decided the Dobbs v. Jackson case and overturned Roe v. Wade after decades of legalized abortion in the U.S.
It was long before that, though, when today’s guest Angie Weszely began to understand how the politicized nature of the abortion discussion was doing more harm than good to everyone involved.
When Angie was first a Devoted Dreamers guest more than five years ago (back in season two, episode 31), she told her story about co-founding ProGrace and the vision of equipping Christians with a third Kingdom way to think, talk, and engage about abortion that values the women and child equally.
I invited Angie to return not only because the abortion conversation is so timely (and the work of ProGrace is so vital) but also because she’s on a long-haul journey to a God-shaped dream and I suspect you might be feeling some of this too: Your dream feels enormous. It’s difficult to see the finish line. Even the thought of how to begin is intimidating.
In this episode, Angie and I are talking about:
I hope you see in Angie a perseverance and open-handedness in how deeply she is committed to the dream but also how loosely she must hold it. And I hope it brings you encouragement.
